1.KAPHA(6:00AM TO 10:00AM):-

Blue hour included blue and violet light because blue has shorter wavelength and faster frequency

Researcher shows that blue light is an inhibitor of melatonin- the hormone that keeps us asleep at night as melatonin in order to wake up as both mentally and physically and helps us to transition from early morning vata to lay lit kapha

Blue light can balance is anxiety and depression which is much needed to start the day

KAPHA TIME AND SUNRISE:-

One hour before sunrise is a blue hour which scattered blue light shutts off melatonin production and UV radiations production is blocked.white, red and infrared light shine boosting muscular strength and mitochondrial energy that balances kapha during morning hours

2.PITTA-(10:00am to 2pm):-

UV radiations finally able to penetrate the atmosphere in fully force and activate vitamin d production in skin which produces pitta energy.

UV radiation can be pitta pacifying and treat skin diseases like psoriasis and dermatitis but can be aggrevating and in excess causes skin cancer but it is all of a matter of exposure.

Blue light at the mid day is scattered turning the sky bright blue and cooling pitta. This can energize ithe body functions.

Red blue green light during mid day combined to make invisible white light that balances pitta while boosting mood and alertness

3.VATA(2pm to 6pm)

The white light illumes the earth in afternoon increases vata which is why Ayurved suggest that rate afternoon is the best time for mental activities At this time of the day Sun begins its afternoon push to horizon UV light steadily blocked by atmosphere which reduces vata(2 to 6:00 p.m. )and initial stages of kapha starting( 6:00 p.m.)

षड रस : Six (6) tastes according to Ayurved

Which taste is maximum found in our routine diet :-

1.Sweet(मधुर रस)-
  Legumes, pulses,ghee, butter,apples, sweet potatoes,nuts,seeds,beans, jaggery etc.

:- It increases the कफ दोष  and decreases the वात दोष.
:-Means helpful in insomnia,emiciation, joints pain

:-Disease Indications by excessive taking- obesity, diabetes,cold and cough

2.Sour( अमल रस) –   
    Vinegar, tomatoes, oranges,cheese ,cream

It enhances the पितऔर कफ   and decreases the वात

:-Good for vit c deficiency, hairfall

:-Should avoid by psoriasis, skin itching and kidney diseases

:-Excess taking causes hypertension,dry cough,joints pain

3.Salty(लवन)- 
    Salt,garlic,sauces

Increases the कफ and पित dosh by overuse and leads to hypertension, osteoporosis

It decreases the वात and पित dosh

Take in normal amount(5gm to 12gm per day) will  prevent  from iodine  and sodium deficiency

4.Bitter(तिक्त)-
    Darkchocolates,mushrooms,seasme seeds,collard green

It increases the vaat and decreases the kaph and pit dosh
Should be avoided by insomniac and emiciation patients

And good for dysmenorrhoea(menstrual pain), hormonal imbalances, obesity,skin allergies,liver disorder pateints

5.pungent(कटु)-

    Coffee, turmeric, cinnamon,basils, spinach

It increases the pit dosh means it should be avoid by hypertension, hyperacidity and UTI patients

And it balances the kaph dosh means good for cold and cough,blood purification, weight loss

6.astringent(कषाय)-

     Moong daal, bitter gourd, bayleaf,caromseeds, coriander seeds

Hypertension : Causes, Symptoms, Investigations and its Line of Treatment

According to World Health Organisation, Hypertension is defined as “high or raised blood pressure, is a condition in which the blood vessels have persistently raised pressure. Blood is carried from the heart to all parts of the body in the vessels. Each time the heart beats, it pumps blood into the vessels. Blood pressure is created by the force of blood pushing against the walls of blood vessels (arteries) as it is pumped by the heart. The higher the pressure, the harder the heart has to pump.” Hypertension ̶ or elevated blood pressure ̶ is a serious medical condition that significantly increases the risks of heart, brain, kidney and other diseases.

So, Hypertension is basically the Force Exerted by the blood against the walls of arteries is too high, usually the blood pressure is 140/90 mm of Hg and in severe cases it can go upto 180/120 mm of Hg

Understanding hypertension in Ayurveda context

According to Maanasi Menon and Akhilesh Shukla article published on NCBI website ,To gain a deeper understanding of hypertension after studying Shad Kriyakala (six stages of Dosha imbalance) and Avarana of Doshas (occlusion in the normal functioning of the Doshas) and the modern pathogenesis of hypertension. Hypertension without specific symptoms in its mild and moderate stages cannot be considered as a disease in Ayurveda. It appears to be an early stage of pathogenesis and a risk factor for development of diseases affecting the heart, brain, kidneys and eyes etc.

As per World Health Organization report, about 40% of people aged more than 25 years had hypertension in 2008

What are causes of Hypertension ?

Improper food habits and modern sedentary lifestyle with or without genetic predisposition provokes and vitiates all the Tridoshas to trigger the pathogenesis of hypertension.

It is proposed that hypertension is to be understood as the PrasaraAvastha which means spread of vitiated Doshas from their specific sites, specifically of Vyana Vata, Prana Vata, Sadhaka Pitta and Avalambaka Kapha along with Rakta in their disturbed states.

The Avarana (occlusion of normal functioning) of Vata Dosha by Pitta and Kapha can be seen in the Rasa-Rakta Dhathus, which in turn hampers the functioning of the respective Srotas (micro-channels) of circulation.

In General language, causes of hypertension are imbalanced lifestyle and improper nutrition and improper food, also in some cases, due to diabetes, chronic diseases like Kidney disorders or SLE, or due to the reasons of family history also.

Viruses are the smallest and deadlier organisms which can cause harm to any human being or animal. However all are not so lethal. All credit goes to the immunity power of the humans. As human beings are inhaling & exhaling, also eating, drinking , they put in and out numerous particles including these micro organisms like viruses. However there has been no perfect anti viral has been made till date. The reason is virus being mutant, as they change themselves and evolve over time & environment they are living in. Immune system of every individual is diffferent and it depends upon the body type, age, genes, diet, environment of dwelling, living and so many other factors. How long does it stay on surfaces or remain suspended in air ?

SARS Corona Virus 2, which causes the disease CoViD-19 which has infected over one million people globally and is still counting. Total death toll has crossed 74 thousand as on April 7th, 2020. This corona virus is more contagious than the other species of corona viruses

As the contagiousness of the virus is concerned, it is also to be taken into account the life of virus outside human body and its life cycle on various surfaces. As studies shows that this virus can live on surfaces like plastic & steel for more than 3 days & for few hours on copper surfaces. It can live on cardboard surface for a period of 24 hours. The whole world is taking precautions in this regard, like avoid touching surfaces in public areas and washing hands with soap and water by rubbing soap at least 20 – 25 seconds. But now there arises a question what if the virus is travelling through air. This question is obvious as it has been seen that medical staff like doctors and nurses are getting infected who are looking after corona virus infected patients and taking proper and necessary precautions. This Virus is not airborne but it can remain suspended in air for hours before settling down on earth or surfaces, as the study shows. It means that where any infected person coughs, or sneezes or exhaled the breath without precautions, may infect others passing through the same area till the virus settle down on some surface.

World Health Organisation has already advised to wear masks by those who have symptoms of cough, Flu, sneezing, body aches or Fever, as it will prevent the spread of virus from infected persons to others. However simple masks do not protect from viruses, and do not guarantee that virus will not enter human body, but masks prevent the spread of virus in the air as any infected person coughs or sneezes, the thrust of air exhaled is reduced & droplets will not enter into air and chances of suspension of virus in the air is also reduced.

Doctors and medicals experts from whole world are suggesting methods to contain its spread. As there is no medication or vaccination out there which can cure this disease, because all are under animal testing trials or other selective human trials. Till then the only ways are reducing human movements, isolation and quarantining the infected people. Medical experts also advise people to wash the hands regularly with soap and water and rubbing soap properly for more than 20 seconds and also not touching the face, nose, mouth or eyes with hands. Where there is no soap or water available, use of alcohol based sanitizer is suggested and rubbing the sanitizer properly.

RT-PCR is a technique in which an RNA sample is used and Reverse Transcripted into DNA & PCR is used to amplify that Sample. In this technique, RNA is reverse transcripted into cDNA (complementary DNA) & amplified to make more copies of that DNA. RT-PCR technique is a diagnosis technique but now a days it is also used as a testing method. During this current Outbreak of CoViD-19 disease globally, RT-PCR technique is used to detect the presence of SARS Corona Virus- 2. However RT-PCR technique is more accurate than Rapid antibody test, but it too have its drawbacks. The exponential growth of the reverse transcribed complementary DNA (cDNA) during the multiple cycles of PCR generates inaccurate end point quantification due to the difficulty in maintaining linearity. In order to have accurate detection and quantification of RNA content in a sample, qRT-PCR (Real Time Reverse Transcriptase Polymerase Chain reaction) was developed using fluorescence-based modification to monitor the amplification products during each cycle of PCR amplification process. The extreme sensitivity of the technique can be a double edged sword since even the slightest DNA contamination can lead to unwanted and false results.

As the spread of CoVid-19 is highly contagious and its rate is very higher. So as there is need of high speed mechanism to detection and diagnosis of the coronavirus responsible. But RT-PCR test takes hours to give results. In the wake of higher testing rate and early detection and cure of the patients, governments of the world are relying on the rapid testing kits, which are generally antibody detection kits. These kits however does not confirm the presence of the virus itself, but it gives the hint that antibody to the virus is present, it means that the patient has or had contacted the virus. Better it will be if antibody positive detected patient is also tested with RT-PCR test. As Cured patients will also show the antibody test positive, even if they have no virus in them. It is well known that even RT-PCR specificity is not 100 percent, but it is very high accurate than other testing methods.

Corona Virus has been spread globally and has its terror on the mankind recently. As there is no cure found till date, the only way is the prevention from this disease. Taking precautions are always better than cure. This is seen in the case of many affected countries. Whole Globe is under Lockdown or Curfew Conditions. This is just because the reason this virus is too much contagious, and spreading at a very fast rate. As it also flatten the curve on graph of number of infections with respect to Time. and in turn it gives the health care agencies more time to respond to the crisis.

World Health Organisation and the governments have provided with many and simple prevention methods to fight and contain the spread of this pandemic. As per WHO, the best prevention is to make yourself clear.

As we can see the name Corona Virus is not new, and the structure of Virus is also not very much different from the viruses which caused SARS or MERS.
